Human beings don’t need religion to discover their inner power. We already have the power to connect with our creator without religion. Humans are born with awesome powers which include instincts, imagination, creativity, intuition, undiscovered talents, and an awesome conscience, which can keep us safe and healthy if we choose to listen. That is why prayer and meditation are so important to understand life’s purpose. We are born with FREE WILL with the ability to discover our identities so we can’t be manipulated or controlled by unscrupulous people seeking power!
Religion is a support system. Responsible religions support individual responsibility and help us discover our purpose. On the flip side, controlling cults call themselves a “religion” but they seek to control people’s thinking and behavior. Cult leaders, like Jim Jones, David Koresh, and Warren Jeffs used their followers to gain power and control over other people! Be aware of anyone who tries to manipulate your decisions or convince you because they know best.
Youth are vulnerable if they have not discovered their own identities which is a do-it-yourself project! They are also vulnerable if families allow physical, emotional, or mental abuse.
“Religion” should NEVER control people’s lives. Human beings have the power to heal from within which can make them strong and resilient. With a growing faith in a creator, we can choose to turn to their higher power for guidance, at any time! Involved citizens have the power to create a support system around families and neighbors, which can keep children safe and healthy.
It was the foundation of faith and dependence on a higher power that made America the land of opportunity and freedom!
The question we need to ask is, Will we teach our children about their inner power to succeed, or will we look to the government and elected flawed men and women to tell us what to think and do? That will be America’s challenge for the future.
“The worst thing you can do for those you love is the things they could do for themselves.”
Abraham Lincoln
