Our Founding Fathers knew that all men are created equal with inalienable rights to seek life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness with freedom for all.
Over the last 50 years, Americans have spent $22 Trillion on poverty which is 3 times more money than all the wars since the American Revolution. (Source: Heritage Foundation)
As the American family grew weaker and more dependent, children were indoctrinated in schools with sex education, programs on racism and given pills to control behavior. Welfare programs removed children from families and gave unwed mothers financial support. Many fathers were emotionally destroyed and looked for love and money in all the wrong places.
We should not be surprised that socialism has taken a leadership role in today’s America.
Socialism makes the government the new “god.” Socialist leaders take away the freedom of choice because they have little faith in man’s ability to take charge of their own lives. They seek power and control with false promises of Utopia.
Government programs, mental health experts, psychologists, and politicians claim, “We are here to help.” They promise reparations and help from cradle to grave which is gradually destroying America’s self-sufficiency and our role as the world’s freedom leader.
Many colleges and universities teach youth that Americans are racists and homophobic. A growing number of students have little tolerance for differing points of view. When youth grow from ego they don’t listen and often feel, I am right, and you are wrong. They don’t rely on inner wisdom or their self-protective conscience. We see the results of a victim culture as a growing number of young people lack the ability to be objective or think for themselves.
Many of today’s young adults feel victimized with unresolved issues. They find escape through porn, sex, drugs and turn on others in anger, hate, and revenge which has destroyed lives. When we fail to learn self-empowerment lessons, we blame ourselves or blame others.
Many Americans do not rely on inner wisdom or faith, but they do believe in imperfect men who tell them what they want to hear.
Our Founding Fathers knew that God gives every human being the power to seek freedom which is an inner journey of self-discovery. The challenge for every human being is to learn that the power of self-control can keep us safe and healthy. To be free means working on yourself and helping your community to create change. When “we the people” take responsibility for our own actions, we will discover our God-given talents and understand that Freedom is our inner power to develop self-worth and perseverance which has kept Americans strong and free.
The empowered family is the key to success to renew our democratic way of life.
Here are three action steps you can take today.
- Are your children developing courage, character and a self-protective conscience? If yes, they will make you proud. If no, check out “Empowerment Parenting.”
- Surround children with a network of support with family, friends and neighbors. Children will learn, by example, how to make healthy, supportive friends at school and avoid bullies or hurtful people.
- Talk to your school and political leaders. What are your community needs? Get involved and help strengthen our democratic way of life.
When we understand freedom, we will raise children that make us proud. We will discover a future full of exciting challenges and prosperity as future generations grow stronger and resilient. We will evolve and work together to create peaceful homes and neighborhoods.
“As soon as public service ceases to be the chief business of citizens, and they would rather serve with their money than with their persons, the State is not far from its fall.”
